Oliver Twist, would wear. Thus, I realize the irony in the fact that I searched high and low for boots that look like the costume of a homeless runaway, but I love them nonetheless. I finally found these shoes at the vintage store. In terms of practicality they are very comfortable, great walking shoes for exploring the city. I wore them with skinny jeans and a plain white t-shirt, but they are versatile and cute with shorts or a dress as well. They have a chic retro look to them, somewhere between an earthy/hipster vibe. Maybe it is just that I am a huge fan of Dickens, but personally I think lace up boots are on the rise.
