Marc Jacobs is making every woman’s dream come true this fall. For day and night you can look stylish and chic in loose, baggy, chunky knits. So while it has been so fun painting on our dresses and leggings every night it looks like breathing is about to return to our daily routines. For daytime you can pair this look with shorts or skinny or straight-leg pants. Transition these heavy sweaters to evening by adding a belt, fun jewelry and a hot little skirt.

I will have to choose one sans crosses personally, but you get the idea. They're stunning. I may need to be chained up if I don't stop finding great things for fall.

Time to Watch Out

Men you better watch out. Women are continuing to show their independence and strength in this world. I think the sexiest thing is a men's watch on a woman's "delicate" wrist. I love the contrast of the masculinity of the size with the overall essence of female femininity. This is just another representation of women's infiltration of what has been and I think at times is still inappropriately and secretly considered "A Man's World." If you look around you see that statement is positively medieval.

Fall for Floral

This fall get ready for a forties revival. The Michael Kors Fall Ready-to-Wear 2008 collection took to the runway in tailored and feminine floral pieces that rekindled memories of Grace Kelly. The show consisted of sable coats, cashmere sweaters, and pencil skirts. Glamour and elegance are finally back in style.

It's getting hotter by the day and the humidity persists. Last year at this time it was all about itty bitty dresses. This summer the maxi dress is the thing to wear to stay cool in this heat. These dresses are free, flowing, and feel great. If you are on the shorter side, like me, you need to think about your choice. You don't want to look like you're drowning in the dress. I suppose the saying should go: When in Rome, look damn good.The rich and the famous headed to Rome for the Gucci Resort fashion show yesterday, Tuesday July 9th. "Please, Sir, I Want Some More"

These boots look like something The Artful Dodger, the colorful character from Dickens novel Oliver Twist, would wear. Thus, I realize the irony in the fact that I searched high and low for boots that look like the costume of a homeless runaway, but I love them nonetheless. I finally found these shoes at the vintage store. In terms of practicality they are very comfortable, great walking shoes for exploring the city. I wore them with skinny jeans and a plain white t-shirt, but they are versatile and cute with shorts or a dress as well. They have a chic retro look to them, somewhere between an earthy/hipster vibe. Maybe it is just that I am a huge fan of Dickens, but personally I think lace up boots are on the rise.

Tucked away in Soho is a small boutique, Agent Provocateur. This racy destination carries the essence of European lingerie. Lanvin Does Denim

Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz has used his eye for dresses and decided to do denim. He is collaborating with the Swedish company, ACNE. On Monday, June 30th, Alber and ACNE celebrated their new collection at the Hôtel de Crillon salon. Designers, models, and fashionistas were all in attendance at the event. The line will not be released until sometime in November, but here are a few of their designs.
